Dog training classes & private lessons
For puppies, adolescents, and adult dogs. We only use reward-based training techniques (using food & toys; clicker training) to make training fun for all; and our knowledge and methods have been fully assessed by the Association of Pet Dog Trainers, UK … so relax you’re in safe hands!
Here’s what we have to offer you:
- Foundation Puppy Classes (7 week course) £120.00
- Fun and Educational Puppy Socialisation (4 week course) £60 (£50 for current puppy course attendees)
- Introduction to Agility (Fun, non-competitive 5 week course) £75
- “Pay and Go” Agility (Sun mornings and Tues evenings) £10 per class
- Clicks and Tricks (5 classes, first Thurs of every month) £90
- Rapid Recall (3 x 1.5 hrs mini training course) £75
- Private One to One Training – 1.5 hrs (Not behaviour cases) £112.50 Additional travel costs will apply at 45p per mile for round trips over 20 miles from LN5
Children are more than welcome at any of our classes, and you’re also welcome to come along and view a class before you sign up!

Fun Agility – 5 week Introduction to Agility Course
Learn some new skills while having fun and mentally tiring your dog out at the same time!
Held at our private and secure sand arena near Witham St Hughs. Limited to 6 dogs. For dogs under 12 months there will be no impact work to protect growing joints.
“Pay and Go” Agility
Every Sunday morning 11:15 to 12:15 and every Tuesday evening 19:20 to 20:20
Had your intro course? Great! now you can book onto our weekly classes and just pay when you can make it (must book in advance). Limited to 5 dogs.
Clicks and Tricks
Want to learn some cool fun tricks?! Clicker training is a great way to get to know your dog better using fun and interesting training techniques. This course covers the basic principles of clicker training, shaping, targeting, behaviour chaining … don’t worry, we’ll teach you to understand what all this means!
Fed up of your dog not coming when you call for them? Do they seem more interested in everything else except you?! We’ll teach you how to boost your dog’s motivation to come when you call to overcome those big distractions dogs sometimes can’t resist – like going to meet and greet other people and dogs on walks! Held at our secure, outdoor venue at Thurlby Moor and limited to 6 dogs.

Foundation Puppy Courses

Hurry, book EARLY as spaces go fast and many owners book before they’ve even brought puppy home!
Puppies can start our classes as early as 9 weeks of age (must be under 18 weeks at start of course). Just make sure they’ve had at least their first set of vaccinations. If your puppy is given the kennel cough vaccine, please do not bring your dog to group classes until at least 7 days afterwards (this is a live vaccine).
Puppyhood can be difficult, frustrating, and tiring … we know, we’ve been there! Let us show you how to make those early weeks fun and stress-free. We’ll give you all the necessary skills, techniques and knowledge to make you a confident (and sane!) puppy owner … and ensure you and the whole family learn the best ways to have fun with your new four legged family member.
Classes are limited to 7 puppies. Each class runs for 1 hour. Welcome meeting (for owners only) runs for 1.5 hours. All held indoors at South Hykeham village hall.

Fun and Educational Puppy Socialisation groups
Now taking bookings for:
- 4 week course starting Wednesday 06 September 2017 18:30 to 19:30 (06, 13, 20, & 27 Sep 2017)
Note: these are NOT free for all puppy frenzies!
Socialisation isn’t just about running about playing with other dogs and being cuddled by lots of different people. Let us show you how good socialisation should be done. Learn how to safely introduce your puppy to new experiences (sights, sounds, smells, different animals etc), and safe play, in a controlled and positive way that will overwhelm your puppy or cause fear. Designed as an additional learning opportunity to our foundation puppy course, for puppies under 12 months of age to explore and gain confidence, while having fun in a fully controlled and supervised environment. Limited to 9 puppies. Note: if less than 5 puppies, course will not go ahead.
Our Puppy courses are run by our qualified Animal Behaviourist, Alison, to safeguard against future behaviour problems. Puppyhood is a crucial part of your dogs development, please check that any trainer you use is a member of The Animal Behaviour and Training Council (www.abtcouncil.org.uk) to ensure their methods and knowledge have been fully assessed by the APDT, UK (www.apdt.co.uk).
